Mother's Day Flowers

 

This year we learned a bit about the vascular system of plants and experimented with dying white flowers for the mothers. 

We tried both single color stems and splitting the stems to soak in two or three colors of dye.

After patiently waiting a few days for the flowers to pick up color, the kids learned about flower arranging from Sherilyn and created beautiful bouquets. 

The kids made beautiful colorful flower cards to go with their colorful flowers. We have some fantastic budding artists.
