End of the Year Festivities

Congratulations to our fifth grade graduates! We've loved having you at Double Creek for the past five years and know that you are both ready for great things in middle school.

Our end of the year fun included a scavenger hunt created by our fifth graders for the younger students. Clues led the children all over the school and through the woods to find pieces of a word puzzle. The solved puzzle announced their prize. Can you tell we have some Mr. Lemoncello fans?

Field day included dressing our fifth graders in some novel toilet paper outfits and some challenging multiplication bean bag toss.

Giant ball games were back by popular demand. This is is quite the workout for those core muscles!

These two have grown a bit since we started teaching them, but they are still just as much fun!

Carnival Camp

We just finished an amazing week of Carnival Camp. Our campers learned about the roles of probability, physics, and psychology in carnival games. They created advertising, made fun house mirrors, designed and built games, and hosted a delightful carnival. Of course, there was also plenty of time for exploring the forest and playing with friends old and new.

The kids made beautiful signs for the booths. (Unfortunately, I didn't get photos of all of them.)

Fortune telling was a popular game all week.

Thanks for an awesome week campers!
