Winter Adventures

Winter weather means no catching butterflies at recess, but the kids are still staying busy and happy.
The kids do a great job playing in mixed age groups.

We are endlessly impressed by the kids creativity in the playroom. Writing and performing plays and building forts are always favorites.

Riding "horses" in costume is good exercise.

We have lots of space, but the kids often prefer to work in the coziest of locations.

The favorite work space is under the table on the heat vent.

Our little elves dressed for the holidays. The kids made these cute ornaments for their parents.

Before winter break the kids made bird seed balls and cards for all of the neighbors. They enjoyed walking through the neighborhood and stopping to say hello to a few of the residents at the local adult care home.

Our younger class has mastered their cursive alphabet. Good job kids!

Planning matching outfits continues to be popular this year. They didn't want anyone to feel excluded, so they created color day where everyone wears as many colors as they can.

Kid created "Color Day" was a lot of fun!

Oregon snowfall is unpredictable so you have to make the most of what you get. Some of the children just watch the flakes fall, but these two celebrated outdoors.

Catching flakes on their tongues

The tiny snowman they made with the small amount of snow that stuck.

The kids made beautiful snow art to make up for how little snow came down outside.

Lots more fun and learning is in store. Winter may be gray, but never a bore!
